Keira Lynne Royston is the newest addition to the Hurley Family. Angela (derek's oldest sister) gave birth to Keira on August 28, 2008 on the same day as my Oma's birthday. She was early and spent some time growing in the hospital. She is now home and doing very well. Brayden makes a great older brother, even though he thinks Keira is Samantha (who is his cousin).

Names, Names, Names

Well Derek and I have already created a list of baby names.

As for a middle name right now we are thinking of using two names one representing both sides of the family. For my middle names I have chosen the following; Katrina (after my sister), Laura (after my two best friends), Harvey (after my Grandpa Anderson), and Matthew (my moms maiden name). Derek has chosen Judith (after his mother), Mary (after his Nana Hurley), Sean (his middle name), and Stuart (which was everyones second middle name on his moms side).
I am sure these names will continually change over the next 7 months.

More Big News

Well apparently Derek and I want to get everything done within one year. I am PREGNANT!!!!!!! It sure didn't take long and I am sure some of you are counting to see if this pregnancy is legit. Well to save you from counting back I will tell you right now it is legit. My due date is May 9, 2009. I am 7 weeks and 4 days. I had my first ultrasound on Monday, Derek was able to come. We weren't really sure what to expect and we weren't sure why I was getting it so early. The first thing the lady asks me is if I was having problems and I said, umm no I am pregnant. She said, I know that but I don't know why you are here. She did the ultra sound anyways and we got to see our little blob. It was 1.55 cm long and heart rate was 167 bpm. We could see the hear beat which was really amazing. Now all we need to do is win the lottery and retire!!!

Well after buying our townhouse in January we have finally moved in. We finally got possession on August 28th. We had a huge moving truck and Dave helped us move in. We got everything unpacked, set up, and painted within 3 days. It was a very tiring couple of days but was well worth. Our first home is beautiful and with all our new wedding gifts in it everything looks perfect.

Derek and I had a wonderful honeymoon in Los Cabos. We stayed in San Jose Del Cabos in the Royal Solaris which was an all inclusive resort. It was a very nice resort but from the beginning we were being forced to buy into "Vacation Ownership". We sat through two sales presentation which wasted 6 hours of our 1 week trip. We did manage to get free things out of it (Snorkeling, Tiki Party, breakfast, taxi ride, blanket and $150USD) We had lots of fun, on top of doing the free stuff we also went horseback riding on the beach, pub crawl and deep sea fishing trip. The fishing trip was my idea and it turned out to be a disaster.... I was sea sick for the full 8 hour trip, it was so hot, Derek got burnt, and we caught NOTHING!!!!!

When we got back from Los Cabos we extended our honeymoon in Osoyoos. We met Brian, Amanda, and Ailish there and spent 5 days camping. Weather wasn't great. Very windy and not very warm. All in all it was still a lot of fun.

Saturday, July 19, 2008 was the happiest day of my life. Derek and I had a beautiful wedding and everything worked out perfectly. We had all our family and friends there to celebrate our special day with us. The weather was beautiful along with our wedding party. We had so much fun and by looking at the drink bill we can assume our guests had a great time too. We haven't received our wedding photos yet but as soon as we get them I will post some.
