My volleyball teams has been doing very well. Our last major tournament before playoffs was at Pacific Academy in Surrey where we placed 4th. During our Richmond league play we went undefeated, wining our last game against our rivals McMath. It was the first time my grade 11's have ever beat McMath since grade 8 so it was an exciting win. We then went right into Richmond playoffs where we went undefeated and again had to face McMath in our last game which was the Final. We beat them in 5 sets. It was another exciting win. One of my starting powers blew out her ankle in the 2nd set which was devastating for us. My thoughts were she was out for the season.
After being Richmond champs I had my first newspaper interview as a coach. I have always been on the player side of interviews so it was nice to experience it from both sides. We went into the lower mainland championships on a wining note. We went through pool play undefeated. We easily won our quarterfinals and moved onto the semi finals to play a team I didn't want to face until the finals. Lucky for us we were on fire and crushed Gladstone in 2 straight sets. Which sent us to the final the play Crofton, a team we had never seen before. We were very luck to get our power back from her ankle injury for this game, because without her presence I think the results would have been different. We ended up becoming Lower Mainland Champions. We are now off to provincials in Langley. We are going to be seeded 4, 5, or 6 in the province which gives us a good chance at finishing in the top 8.

14 Weeks Completed!

Well today I have finished my 14th week of pregnancy. I am slowly starting show, but it just looks like I am getting a roll. When I first got pregnant I weighed 128.8lbs and now 14 weeks later I weigh 134.4lbs, so I have gained 5.4lbs. I figure thats not to bad. I had my first appointment with my OB, Dr. Tkatch. She is the same OB that delivered Macin (Lindsays son). Lindsay really liked her so that makes me feel more comfortable. I got to hear the babys heart beat for the first time which was very exciting. The Dr. says that everything feel, looks, and sounds great! I have my next ultra sound on December 11 and can't wait to see how much it has changed since 8 weeks.
