We had Adriana's Christmas Portraits done at Wal-Mart. I was very happy with how they turned out; she smiled in every shot the lady took so it was hard to pick which poses to get. The lady said she was the easiest baby shoot ever. What a poser!!!

On The Move....Well Sort Of
Derek has been eagerly trying to teach Adriana to crawl. She is so close.....she pulls herself up onto her hands and knees and rocks back and forth all the time. She does do an army type crawl if she really wants to get somewhere. She will make every effort to make her way to the Christmas tree, she loves playing with the skirt because it has bells on it. She has also started to wave Bye. She doesn't do it every time but is getting better. This morning when we were at the Basics for Babies Breakfast she was waving at everyone who walked by including Aaron Pritchett (he didn't notice her). It was the first time I had been to the breakfast, every other year I am in my car driving to work listening. It was my first time seeing Paul Brandt perform, he was great! Adriana also loved the music, she did, however, fall asleep on my lap during Paul Brandt's version of Little Drummer Boy.
Christmas Party
We hosted our 4th Annual Christmas Open House this past Sunday and it was a great success. I thought it was going to be a lot more work having Adriana but everything worked out great! I started my baking 2 weeks before that party and had just enough time to finish everything I wanted to bake. Derek was a great help, he cleaned the house the day before the party while I was babysitting our niece and nephew. Katrina spent the night on Saturday to look after Adriana in the morning so Derek and I could get everything ready. It was in good heart but she ended up spending more time getting ready than looking after Adriana......Love you Katrina! We had a total of 33 adults and 9 kids. Thanks everyone for coming, it was great to see everyone before Christmas.

Busy.....Spoiled Day

Yesterday was a very busy day for Adriana. First we went to visit Auntie Katrina in North Vancouver where she got spoiled with another new toy from Auntie and I finally found an Umbrella Stroller that I actually like. Needless to say we spent a bit of money at Jack & Lola's.
After our visit in North Van we headed to Vancouver to meet cousin Ailish and Shayla. Adriana and Shayla had an audition for a commercial. It was slightly nerve racking.....I can now understand how parents get nervous for their children. No call back but we will keep trying!
After their audition we headed over to Mountain Equipment Co-op. Adriana got an early Christmas present from Auntie Amanda and Uncle Brian....her very own sleeping bag for camping! Thanks guys.
As you can see she was definitely spoiled today!

Half Birthday
Today Adriana turned 6 Months old. It is hard to believe that much time has gone by. In the part 2 weeks she has changed so much; her first tooth came in on Friday; her hair is growing in like crazy; and now she is moving around more than ever. She is growing up before my eyes and it is amazing how I can still love her more and more with each passing day. I have never seen anyone smile as much as she does and brightens up every day. Derek and I are so lucky to have such a great baby.

Adriana Loves Santa

Ever since Adriana has been born everyone says how much see looks like Derek. I don't exactly see it so I thought I would post some pictures from when Derek and I were her age. Let me tell you it is not the easiest task to find baby pictures of a 4th child, so the one above is as close as it gets to 6 months. I will agree Adriana definitely gets her length from her father; Derek was the longest baby I have ever seen. She also, of course, gets her blue eyes from him, the blond hair, and ears. Other then that I would pretty much say she resembles me more than him. Let’s hear what others have to say.
Finally, today my Mother said she looks more like me!

Adriana Loves Her Kitties!
Adriana has recently noticed Marley and Belle and loves them both so much. They are the first thing she looks for when she wakes up. Marley and Belle love her as well, they always have to be around her. When she wakes up from her nap or starts crying they get to her before I do. During her naps Marley is always sleeping on the chair in her room and Belle is either on the window ledge or sleeping on the opposite side of the crib as Adriana. We are so lucky to have 2 great cats! Although I am sure Derek would beg to differ.
