Ultrasound Music For The Unborn Child

I downloaded a bunch of baby music and in one of the files was a disc of Ultrasound Music for the Unborn Child so I thought I would play it for the baby while I read. It is all classic composers like Bach, Mozart, Schubert, Chopin etc. I only have ear buds so I had to use tape to tape them secure to my belly. I hope this will make my baby as smart as they say it will ;)

Derek and I bought a book from Costco called Disney Pixar Bedtime Stories, so every night now Derek is reading a story to the baby. It is really cute.

Today while I was teaching I was sitting while the kids were writ ting an exam and all of a sudden the baby starting kicking like crazy and for the first time I could actually see my belly move. It was way too funny, I actually laughed out loud and then felt like an idiot. At first all the movement I felt was bellow my belly button on the right side, now I am feeling it higher up on my left side so I think the baby is starting to flip!

Ella Wants a Friend!

Ella was over on the weekend and Jolene took some pictures of her touching my belly. It was so cute. Then Ella got to be the first one to test out the new stroller. It was only around the kitchen! I am starting to get anxious for the baby to come now.

New Stroller

We bought our stroller this weekend and I absolutely love it! It is a B.O.B, it is so light and it moves so smoothly. Belle really seems to like it as she is always jumping into it. Now I can't wait to have the baby so I can actually start using it.
Derek has been busy with the babies room and it looks like he might be finished with all the painting today. I will post pictures as soon as it is all complete. We might have to wait a while to set up our crib as it was one of the ones that was recalled so I have to wait to get the new brackets before I set it up.

New Addition to My Extended Family

My second Cousin, Silvia, who lives in Austria gave birth to her second child on December 30, 2008, two days after her due date. Natalie was 9lbs 5 oz and was 54 cm long. I feel for Silvia as she is a very petite women so I can't imagine her pushing out a baby that big. Silvia and Matrin now have two beautiful little girls.

24th Week

My Baby Bump

I am now in my 24th week of pregnancy and by chance I have gained 24lbs. I think that is a lot but apparently I am growing at the right pace. Most people say they can't see where the 24 pounds are so that makes me feel better. A lot has changed since week 18. I can now feel the baby moving around and kicking, Derek has even been able to feel the baby kick a few times. I don't overly care for being pregnant I feel fat and gross even though I love to see other peoples baby belly's. I think maybe once I get a bit bigger and really actually look pregnant I will like it more. I have joined a Pre-Natal Group Fitness class at the YMCA close to my house. It is nice to have a chance to meet other Mom's to be around the same stage as me. The class is fun, I am definitely enjoying sweating and working out again. I think Derek and I are going to become member at the Y together. The Y has much better equipment then the weight room in my school!

Me with all my Nieces and Nephew
Derek and I had a very enjoyable Christmas. We managed to make it in our car to Ladner over the Christmas Snow Storms. On Christmas Eve we went to Church and hand a Ham dinner at Derek's Dad's house. On Christmas morning Derek and I spent our very first Christmas together in our New House. It was nice to finally spend a Christmas together. After breakfast we went to Ladner and built a snowman with Brayden. Brayden had a lot of fun in the snow, I taught him how to throw snowballs so it was pretty funny to watch him chuck snowballs at me. We had a delicious dinner with all of Derek's Family. I was a very nice treat to have it snow so much over the Christmas Holiday, it made it feel like home.

Pregnancy All Around

Amanda, my sister in law, is also pregnant. We are actually only 4 days apart. The family have been joking around on who they will go visit if we have the babies on the same day. It is exciting to have someone pregnant at the same time, especially this close together. I am hoping they will be a week apart, as I know how much it sucks to have joint Birthday parties and I am sure Katrina can relate to this as well.
