Adriana had her friend, Jayla, over today for a pool party. This was Adriana's first time in a swimming pool and she loved it. The two girls just laid back and relaxed.
Adriana really lovers her swing. She can now see the little bears hanging over her head and smiled and laughs at them all the time.

Adriana and her cousin Shayla, I can't believe they are getting so big. I want her to stay small forever.

Marley loves to be a part of everything. Every time during my night feeds he has to be right beside Adriana. He loves her so much.

It is hard to believe Adriana is already 6 weeks old. Time has gone by so fast and I love being a mom. I took her to the Health Unit today to weigh and measure her, she is now 12lbs 8ox and 24.75 inchs long.

Ella's Baptisim

On June 21, 2009 Ella was Baptized in the United Church in Ladner. Derek and I were very honoured to be Ella's Godparents. We are so happy to have such great friends and have our girls so close in age.

Visit with Auntie Zielke

My friend Laura Zielke came for a nice visit to meet Adriana. She was here for 3 days and we had a lot of fun with her. One day on her visit we went to Michael's and she bought Adriana some wall art for her bedroom. Then, being the Artist that she is, she copied the font and painted Adriana's name on the wall. Her room is now starting to look more like a girls room. Thanks for the visit Auntie Zielke, we can't wait to see you again!

Growing Like A Weed

Adriana is growing so fast I can't believe it. Today she is four weeks old, I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. I took her to the Cloverdale Health Unit to weigh and measure her. She now weighs 11lbs 3.5 oz, is 23.75 inches long, and her head circumference is 15.5 inches. I filled out a growth chart and discovered that her weight-for-age percentile is 90, her length-for-age percentile is over 100, her head circumference-for-age is 94, and her weight-for-length percentile is 10. I guess we can determine she is a tall skinny baby!

A Day at the Beach

I decided it would be fun to have a little get together at the beach so I invited all the ladies and kids for a picnic at Crescent Beach. There was myself and Adriana, Lindsay and Macin, Amanda, Ailish, and Shayla, Catherine and Samantha, and Angela, Brayden, and Keira. The kids had a lot of fun playing in the water and sand. We will have to do it again soon.

Adriana's Many Friends

Adriana and her friend Jordan. Jordan is my friend Michelle son. I met her at my prenatal workout class. Jordan was due after Adriana but was born before on May 15. They are 4 days apart and Adriana is a lot bigger that is for sure. We had a nice visit with Michelle and Jordan today and hope to have many more play dates with them.

This is Adriana's neighbour friend Jayla. She lives across the road from us in the same complex. Jayla is just under 5 months older than Adriana but I am sure Adriana will catch up in size sooner than we think. We like to go for walks together around our neighbourhood.

This is Adriana's cousin Shayla. They are 4 days apart as well. It will be nice to have a cousin so close in age to grow up with. Adriana is the 6th grandchild on the Hurley side, there are 6 kids under the age of 3. Needless to say Sunday Family Dinner's are going to get even more chaotic.

This is Adriana's friend Sienna, they are 6 weeks apart. Sienna is our friends Rob and Julia (our photographers from our wedding) daughter. We had a nice visit with last weekend and are planning to go visit them in Victoria some time soon.

Adriana is so lucky to have so many friends so close in age to her. We just have to get on Katrina's case so she can have a cousin on the Anderson side.

Happy 29th Birthday Derek

It was Derek's 29th Birthday on Saturday so we decided to venture out for our first Restaurant visit with Andriana. Adriana, Derek, my mom, and I went to Charlie don't Surf in White Rock. Adriana was so well behaved, she was awake at first and was just looking around and later fell asleep. Our server wasn't too sharp and when Derek ordered a bottle of wine we asked if all four of us would be having a glass. He was dead serious, it was very strange!

On Sunday, we had our usual Hurley Family dinner and celebrated Derek's Birthday with an Ice Cream Cake.
