Adriana's First Camping Trip

Last weekend Adriana experienced her first of many camping trips. We head to Hazelmere RV Park and Campground where we rented a cabin. We figured it might be a bit to soon to tent it with her so we played it safe (although I am pretty sure she would have done just fine in a tent). Even without a lot of our tenting stuff we still had to take 2 cars so we will definitely need that SUV for next summer! The cabin was really nice, it had 2 double beds and a bunk, fridge, bbq, cooking stove, TV, and a table and chairs. It was really busy as there was a dog show going on so there were a lot of interesting looking dogs.

On Friday night Dave, Jolene, and Ella came up for dinner. On Saturday our friends Mike, Michelle, and Jordan came for a visit and Sean, Lindsay, and Macin came up to spend the night Saturday. We had lots of fun and Adriana got to experience her first swim in a big pool, she loved it. She got one face full of water but only whimpered for a second.

On Saturday night there was a huge storm (rain, thunder and lightening) We had to eat in the cabin and kept the door open so we could see the light show! Sean, Lindsay, and Macin ended up sleeping in the cabin with us because it was raining so hard.

We had lots of fun and can't wait for this weekend when we go camping again to Lake Goodwin in Washington.

First Anniversary

We celebrated our first wedding anniversary yesterday and Derek had a big surprise.... He organized for Katrina to watch Adriana and a beautiful dinner at The Observatory on top of Grouse Mountain. This is where we went to dinner the day we were engaged and we have decided to make it a yearly dinner. We had a delicious steak dinner and explored the top of the mountain while enjoying the view. Sticking with the traditional "paper" gift for the 1st anniversary we purchased a painting for our living room. We love it and it matches perfectly with our decor.

We finally got the photos from Adriana's Photo Shoot. She was 3 weeks old in these picture, I can't believe how much bigger she is already.

On Canada Day we went to the Cloverdale Canada Day Celebration with Dave, Jolene, and Ella. It was a very hot day but the girls were very well behaved. After watching the Jeremy Fisher Concert we went to Red Robin for dinner.

Last Friday, Adriana and I went out to Cultus Lake for the day. Brain, Amanda, Ailish, and Shayla were the camping so we spent the day with them at the beach.

Last Saturday we decided to check out the new Golden Ears Bridge, it was a very nice bridge. We then came back across on the Albion Ferry and had lunch in Fort Langley. I wish we would have had more time to walk around there but we had to go and watch my cousins, Thane and Rylan play Roller Hockey. It was nice to have visit with them and My Uncle Mac, Auntie Brenda and Garet we hadn't seen them since our wedding.

On Sunday we went to Victoria for the day to visit Rob, Julia, and Sienna. We had a very fun visit with them.

They borrowed their friends mini van so we could all be together. The girls got the back seat to themselves, it was very cute. Adriana doesn't look happy but she was very good the entire day.

Adriana loves tummy time and is sporting one of many gifts from Auntie Katrina. Adriana got spoiled rotten with all the gifts Auntie Katrina bought her in Europe.
