We have 27 nights booked for camping this summer and after only 4 we decided it was time to invest in a tent trailer.  I must admit I was never a fan of tent trailers.  In fact I can remember my sister and I pulling up in our 30 foot motor home making fun of the families with a tent trailer and now I am one of those families.  I must say they have come along way; they are very spacious; having a toilet is a godsend; and the furnace is a blessing.  All said we are extremely happy with our purchase.

We have used it 2 weekends in a row and lucked out with the weather (should I even be needing to say this in June?).  Adriana loves camping and thoroughly enjoys spending time with her camping friends.

Birch Bay Camping Trip

On May Long Weekend we had our first camping trip of the year.  This also marked the first "tenting" camping trip we have had with Adriana.  Adriana slept great in the tent....me on the other hand....lets just say we ended up in Brian and Amanda's trailer for the following nights.  The girls had a blast going for bike rides around the campground.  We spent on day at the Seattle Woodland Zoo, Adriana's favourite animals were the wild dogs, sea otters, and brown bears.  The rain held up for most of the weekend which made life a bit easier, but we are now in the market for a tent trailer.

Parties...Parties and more Parties

Derek took the last Friday of my maternity leave off so we could spend the day as a family.  We decided to explore a new park called Campbell River.  There is a very nice walking trail there with trees creating an archway as you can see in the picture above.

On the same weekend we went to the Early Years Children's Festival in Surrey.  Brayden, Keira and Adriana had a blast especially in the ball pen!

We had Adriana Baptized on April 11, 2010 at Sacred Heart Church. It was nice to have a lot of my Family down to celebrate with us. Adriana did very well; she was the first of 7 to go and didn't cry when she was completely drenched by Father Michael.
